The Shanghai Business Review interviewed Peter Duncan, Chairman of HASSELL, in the February issue of this publication. The article notes that design firm HASSELL has welcomed China government's move to pursue a more sustainable future for China's construction industry. Having operated in China for more than a decade, HASSELL has already developed its set of standards relating to sustainable development and is now witnessing the Chinese government's green resolutions falling in line with the firm's own practices.

"Up until now, a green approach was seen as a good thing – provided that the developer was willing, and the city planners could accommodate that. But now it's become important regardless of those variables. This is a very helpful transition, because there is a clear agenda related to the positioning that we have been pursuing for quite some time,"said Peter Duncan in the article.
