A fantastic part-time opportunity has arisen for a talented Finance Assistant to join the Melbourne team. Reporting to the State Project Accountant, you will be responsible for full function Accounts Payable processes. This is a fixed-term maternity leave replacement role (9 months), to be reviewed at the end of the fixed term based on performance and role availability.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
_Processing creditor invoices, staff expense claims and consultant in trust invoices including seeking relevant approval, accurate coding and data entry as well as EFT payments
_Data entry, filing, and general day to day administration
_Liaising with external and internal stakeholders
_Manage and maintain petty cash, corporate credit card and CabCharge
_Preparation of monthly timesheet summary for payroll
_Preparation of monthly reports from Microsoft AXAPTA (Dynamics AX) and data analysis as required
The role is part time with flexible hours of 20-25 hours per week, days are negotiable.
Key skills and experience
_The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Finance Assistant
_Certificate in Accounting or Business Administration is advantageous
_Excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritise
