Welcoming Darren Cartlidge who has joined Hassell as a Principal in our Hong Kong studio. An architect with nearly three decades of professional experience, Darren has a deep understanding of the markets and clients across Asia.

Our Hong Kong studio teamed up with our client The Great Room to co-host a panel discussion titled, ​‘Breathing space: A regenerative approach to designing places’. The event explored the role that green, public and third spaces play in transformative urban regeneration and social sustainability and how these spaces – from pocket parks to precinct scale – can have cumulative positive effects for a city.

With a fresh array of more accessible retail and dining options, a vibrant central square, and a dazzling double-skin façade, the new look CIFI Plaza in Jiaxing, China is a shining example of how an existing property can be reinvigorated and become a central hub for its community.
