Tony Grist

When we blur the boundaries of design, we get a much richer result – and a more fulfilling experience for people.”

Tony is one of our most experienced designers, with a portfolio of renowned international projects, including the landmark Sixty Martin Place tower and award-winning Qantas Domestic Terminal in Sydney.

With a background in both architecture and urban design – and a career spanning the UK, Australia and Japan – Tony brings a truly international, cross-disciplinary view to everything he does, from workplaces to infrastructure to commercial developments.

He excels on large-scale projects, working with clients and designers who aren’t afraid to grapple with complex challenges – and bold ideas. He knows that diving into that process with vision and determination can produce outcomes with the power to shape our cities and lives.

Curious to the core, Tony loves to push the boundaries in his work. He often contributes to dialogue on the future direction of the field, including through his involvement with the New York-based Van Alen Institute, which looks at how design can help tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time.
