Cancelled: SXSW 2020 - Maps, murals and meaningful moments

Update: Due to the ongoing spread of Novel Coronavirus, the City of Austin has cancelled mass gatherings, including South by Southwest 2020. SXSW has released this official statement.

Sea-level rise, the plight of local species, and the tech company takeover are all events impacting San Francisco’s people. How can we use data and design to engage communities around the issues and causes that shape their futures?

From maps to murals to temporary installations in public space and new forms of data visualisation; urban storytelling devices matter. This panel discussion brings together experts who combine science and art to tell powerful and diverse local stories.
