Harbourside’s first office façade panels installed

Snøhetta + Hassell’s and Mirvac’s collaborative vision for the Harbourside redevelopment on Gadigal and Wangal Country is a bold reimagining of one of Sydney’s most iconic waterfronts.

The mixed-use precinct consists of a residential tower, vibrant retail and restaurants and premium office space. The precinct will create over 11,000sqm of new and reimagined public spaces, including a new 3,500sqm waterfront park, and waterfront promenade, with new pedestrian connections between Pyrmont and the harbour’s edge. It’s a dynamic hub designed for living, gathering, and connecting.

Once a shared Country of the Gadigal and Wangal people, the podium reinterprets the site’s original sandstone escarpment, grounding the building in place while honouring the cultural heritage of Tumbalong.

The development has reached a major milestone, with the first office façade panels installed, offering an early glimpse of the architectural character that will define this landmark.

Sustainability underpins the design with the façade made entirely from low-embodied carbon aluminium — a first for a façade of this scale in Australia — responsibly sourced and certified by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative. Passive strategies maximise access to natural light and provide opportunities for natural ventilation, while green roofs insulate the podium, help cool the surrounding environment and enhance biodiversity.

Harbourside is a long-term investment in the life and energy of Sydney, shaping a vibrant and future-ready destination.
