Queenstown Airport terminal concept design to begin

Hassell, in partnership with architecture and design practice Warren and Mahoney (WAM) has been selected by Queenstown Airport, New Zealand, to deliver the concept design for the Queenstown Terminal upgrade.

Marking a major milestone, Hassell and WAM will partner with the Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) to develop a concept design for the expansion and upgrade of the airport terminal. The project aims to significantly increase capacity and elevate the experience for customers and staff alike.

Both WAM and Hassell have a wealth of experience working with airports on both sides of the Tasman – including Christchurch, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, and Gold Coast airports – and globally.

The terminal concept design is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
