ArchitectureAU reports on our design for St George’s Anglican Grammar that will upcycle a 1980s office building in Perth’s CBD into a vibrant education campus. In approving the scheme, the City of Perth Design Review Panel found the proposal to be ​“a valuable benchmark example for the adaptive reuse of an aging and vacant low-grade commercial office building.”

Landscape Australia

The proposed $68.7 million Orthonova Orthopaedic Hospital, will offer orthopaedic surgery services and be equipped with technology for joint replacement surgery. Designed by Hassell, it features include day surgery suites, operating theatres, 40-bed inpatient wards, 20 day beds and eight recovery beds.

The Western Australian Planning Commission has approved the state’s first and only purpose-built children’s hospice facility, designed by Hassell. The facility will provide round-the-clock care for children with life-limiting conditions. ​“This beautifully designed and situated hospice will make a tremendous difference to the West Australian families going through what is the most challenging of journeys,” said WA premier Roger Cook. ​“I am looking forward to seeing this important facility complete and supporting children, their parents, siblings and other loved ones and providing them comfort.” Read the full article in ArchitectureAU.
