Our Melbourne Studio has an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious Document Controller to play a key role within our project delivery team.

About you

You will be responsible for maintaining and controlling the central project documentation management system for the project, including review of document nomenclature, numbering, and titles for consistency prior to submission, and other ancillary tasks.

The HASSELL Melbourne studio is in search for a 3D Visualiser to join our Interiors team. If you have the skills to produce photo-realistic images and possess artistic abilities that enable the production of evocative images, then we’d like to hear from you.

About you

We are looking for a talented 3D Visualiser with the following attributes:

_At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within an architecture practice

_Production experience using 3D Studio Max 15 + and VRay 3 + RC3, or Rhino 3D and VRay 3, with strong grasp of the entire Adobe Suite

Project Commercial Manager

The role

We’re looking for a dedicated Project Commercial Manager with strong consultancy and stakeholder management experience in medium to large scale projects to join HASSELL.

This is your opportunity to become part of an integrated team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects and urban designers to work on large, city-shaping projects within the Eastern Region.

Key tasks and capabilities

Contracts and fees:
_Lead the negotiating process in all new contracts and scopes within HASSELL with continual monitoring of contractual obligations
_Assist in developing and managing work plans from fee submission process
_Ensure links across studios regarding costs rates and fee percentages are aligned
_Prepare, submit and monitor forecasts – fees, cash flow and invoicing
_Debtors - monitor, pursue and report

Risk Mitigation:
_Lead the risk identification, reporting and mitigation process
_Contract review, working with practice management and our insurers to determine the intent and consequences of contract conditions
_Prepare and coordinate variation submissions and lead negotiations – scope, program, deliverables and fees
_Monitoring contractual obligations; ensuring records of actions are taken
_Ensure responses are made as required under contractual conditions to safeguard our position.

Program:
_Review and interrogate project programs through all stages of the project
_Advise on consequences and propose programs that work with the design teams to be the most effective and commercially efficient in the way we work
_Negotiate change to programs as necessary

You will be reporting to the Regional Leader and HASSELL Commercial Manager and is located in our Sydney studio and overseeing the Eastern Region but could be worked out of our Melbourne or Brisbane studios if required.

About you

You will have previous experience managing contracts and or commercial matters for the architectural, building or engineering industry and the ability to facilitate and coordinate the completion of a large scale projects from design to completion stage.

Skills and experience

_Commercial acumen
_Strong communication, consultancy, inter-personal and stakeholder management skills
_Ability to manage contracts, negotiate scope changes, and report on commercial and financial position
_Ability to manage risks, variations, resourcing and finances for the project
_Monitor project progress against timeline and facilitate the smooth running of the program
_Previous experience and understanding of the design and/or construction industry
_Experience managing design consultancy services
_Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage project variations, extensions and other contractual matters
_Advanced excel skills required.
_Advanced use of MS Project or equivalent.

We are looking for a Project Lead Architect in our Perth studio with significant experience in high quality residential and or mixed used architectural design. _Relevant degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
_Exceptional design and graphics skills
_Confident in putting forward new ideas and developing design concepts with others
_Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite

User Support Engineer (Tiers 1 & 2)

The role

Join our international, multidisciplinary design practice as a Technical Support Engineer (Tiers 1 and 2).

Reporting to the User Support Team Leader in Australia, and based in the vibrant area of Shoreditch, this newly created position supports 60 users and offers a variety of interesting and challenging work within a global team setting.

With an ability to operate as the sole technical expert in our UK studio, you will provide first and second tier desktop support to our designers and other professionals, with the aim of improving the level of service in our Practice.

About you

With at least five years’ experience in technical support roles, you have a strong client focus with excellent customer service skills and sense of urgency. You are a natural problem solver and have demonstrated your ability to think analytically and make informed decisions in prioritising activities, often with conflicting response times.

You are reliable, proactive and intuitive, with a track record of managing the delivery of activities in line with service level agreements. You understand the diversity and technical knowledge of the users you support and are capable of articulating technical information in a user-friendly manner.

You possess experience with troubleshooting and administration of Microsoft Windows 7+, active directory, Office 365, storage and backup applications, Microsoft server 2008/2012 and cloud applications and services.

Experience/certifications in the following areas is highly regarded, but not essential:
_ITIL Foundation Certification or an understanding of the ITIL framework

We’re on the lookout for the next generation of HASSELL designers for either 6 or 12 month full-time paid student or graduate opportunities with our UK studios based in London and Cardiff.
