介绍Jon Hazelwood:HASSELL董事

面对横空出世的悉尼游乐场、首尔一公里长的购物商场和降临克罗伊登的高街,伦敦与它们相比并没有什么共同点。

但在过去的几个月里,来自HASSELL各大团队的设计师们对这些地方重新勾勒。本月升职为董事的Jon Hazelwood也是这个大家庭的一员。

作为景观设计师,Jon已经度过了他职业生涯的18个年头。他的足迹遍布英国和澳大利亚,他以清新、协作、灵动的设计手法而享誉盛名。

Jon说:“无论大家来自哪个专业、拥有怎样的设计背景、来自哪个国家,我非常乐衷于将相互合适的专业和人才相互匹配,从而实现最佳的项目成果。”

Jon还说:“上个月我与HASSELL团队一道齐心协力,参与了在首尔举办的世运商街城市步道设计竞赛,这对我而言是很棒的经历,我们的团队成员来自伦敦、悉尼、墨尔本和上海。”

Jon说自己的灵感源于那些机智幽默、鼓舞人心的协作者们。

“我从不同的协作者那里听取观点,获得如同品牌专家、讲故事的人或是园艺师一样多元化的视角,我相信与他们的交流和合作将使项目取得更卓越的成就。”

上个月,他作为主创团队的一员与非赢利组织Archikidz一同合作打造了游乐[场]。这座横空出世的游乐场作为悉尼年度庆祝活动的一部分,见证了4000名儿童在这里以自己的方式奔跑、攀爬与嬉笑。

Jon出生于英格兰北部的纽卡斯尔,他在HASSELL伦敦事务所工作了4年之后,于近期回到悉尼。在英国期间,他和包括团队、克罗伊登委员会和外部协作者在内的各方通力合作,重塑克罗伊登南端高街的活力。

Jon解释说:“2011年伦敦暴乱加快了整个伦敦进一步实施改善高街计划的步伐。我们与委员会、当地社区和志同道合的协作者们通力合作,一致提倡增强高街的使用效能,为当地人们打造一片更适宜漫步、购物和驻足小憩用餐的环境。”

Jon介绍到他的客户们所面临的最大挑战,即如何探究崭新、成功的方式,吸引人们亲临现场,鼓励他们驻足片刻并和他们的朋友分享这次体验。

Jon解释说:“尽管‘激活’和‘同时使用’之类的说法听起来有些陈词滥调,但这些词仍无处不在地反映着客户致力于打造成功空间的兴趣和志向。”

HASSELL接手设计全球时尚品牌的伦敦店面

全球时尚品牌Karen Millen决定由HASSELL接手设计其店面,作为参展本年度英国皇家建筑师协会橱窗展的作品。该活动旨在让各设计工作室在伦敦的摄政街打造专属定制的店面。

在这次橱窗展中,15家设计公司将伦敦历史最悠久的街道的街景变成颂扬伦敦建筑人才创新和创意思想的互动展览。

HASSELL在全球的短期装置和临时性干预项目领域获得了不少奖项, Karen Millen虽为错综复杂的事物所吸引,但简洁仍是大部分设计的固有特征。

“通过他们对工艺和表现形式进行充满灵感的运用…我们了解了HASSELL如何对待不同的空间,与他们怎样合作才能够真正地在英国皇家建筑师协会橱窗展期间改造我们的橱窗,”Karen Millen的全球创意总监Katie Vale如是说。

HASSELL的装置概念将利用Karen Millen为自信女人创造完美剪裁时尚装束的国际美誉。

旋转的大幅印花布将在整个长度为30米的橱窗内打造魔幻般的仙境。HASSELL的设计彰显了品牌的女性特质以及居于时尚行业核心地位的精湛做工。

HASSELL的董事Julian Gitsham谈到:“该项目提供了一个独特的机会,让HASSELL能与创意行业其他专业合作并同时展现居于时尚和建筑世界核心地位的精湛技艺。”

设计将于2015年9月7日安装和揭幕,并进行为期三周的展览。

HASSELL与Distillery宣布合并

国际设计企业HASSELL与拥有众多人才、富有声望的新加坡设计事务所Distillery已于近期宣布合并。

Distillery设计事务所以其在酒店、零售、餐饮设计领域的卓越设计经验而闻名。其近期设计项目包括刚刚完成的Club Hotel,为阿丽拉酒店与度假村集团设计的马来西亚项目,位于新加坡的豪华商场项目Malmaison,以及位于新加坡丽晶酒店内的曼哈顿酒吧。

“两家公司的团队拥有共同的设计思维,并因本次合并而合为一体,” Distillery董事 Paul Semple表示。“两家企业拥有共同的价值,团队的结合是一个自然的发展过程。”

“合并后,Distillery将在HASSELL名下延续其工作方式与思维,因此两家公司的品牌及共同的目标意识都意味着这是一次真正意义上的合并, ” Paul表示。

HASSELL执行董事Robert Backhouse表示,Distillery合伙人Paul Semple和Matthew Shang及其团队将为HASSELL事务所带来全新的视角和极富创意的设计方法。

“我们的新加坡和国际客户都将受益于两家企业合并后带来的丰富设计人才、知识与资源,”Rob谈道。

“协作、开放和打造人们喜爱的场所的渴望都是两家公司基因的一部分,”他表示。

此次合并是近期HASSELL旨在加强在新加坡——公司国际业务中心的投入的决策之一。此前的一系列决策还包括聘请Su Lim加入新加坡事务所并担任全球客户关系主管,以及董事及董事会成员Caroline Diesner将在本月晚些时候从珀斯转职至新加坡。

澳大利亚建筑师协会(AIA)最高荣誉

Fiona Stanley医院项目的协作设计(由HASSELL、Hames Sharley以及Silver Thomas Hanley共同完成)已斩获由澳大利亚建筑师协会颁发的西澳分会颁发的三项大奖。

Fiona Stanley医院项目因此也获得了西澳洲范围内的最高殊荣,乔治·坦普尔·普尔(George Temple Poole)奖
评审委员会表示,该地标性的建筑体现了“极高的设计水平,完美融合了建筑与景观。”

“Fiona Stanley医院项目在西澳洲地区极具影响力,向人们展示了高水平的设计”评审委员会再一次表达了对该项目的赞赏。
同时,该项目在公共建筑及可持续发展建筑类别也得到广泛认可,已分别获得公共建筑类别的Jeffrey Howlett奖,以及可持续发展建筑设计类别的Wallace Greenham奖。

“Fiona Stanley医院的设计打造了一个自然疗愈环境,不仅可以应对多种复杂的功能需求,更重要的是,项目以人为本,并将自然光、自然材质的质感以及环境最大范围地加以利用,”HASSELL董事David Gulland对项目进行如此说明。

肖尔黑文癌症康复中心(SCCC)赢得澳大利亚建筑师协会(AIA)颁发奖项

肖尔黑文癌症康复中心项目赢得了令人梦寐以求的州长大奖,该奖项隶属于澳大利亚建筑师协会新南威尔士分会。
