Scoop magazine published a profile on HASSELL in the winter 2011 issue. The article features several of our recent award-winning projects, noting the detailed consultation process that underpins the success of these projects.
HASSELL Principal John Crabtree discusses the power of design to positively impact human experiences, commenting for example that, "Traditionally, courts were designed to demonstrate authority and are rather intimidating spaces. Simple measures such as adding natural light reduce that sense of intimidation."
The article concludes that, "Size counts when you are considered one of the world's largest architecture firms. But size is not everything...Walk through a HASSELL milestone project and take a closer look. Sure, the scale of the thing is impressive, yet the beauty is in the detail."
