Three recent additions to the Melbourne culinary scene, Outpost Dining Room, Deba Sushi Bar and Mopho Noodle Bar – designed by HASSELL – have been featured in the July/August issue of Inside Interior Design Review.

The once industrial Station Precinct, located close to the South Yarra Railway Station, is fast becoming one of the city's newest food destinations, boasting a mix of restaurants and bars supporting the neighbourhood's burgeoning community of apartment buildings and offices.

The three new eateries are distinctive in their approach, from Deba Sushi which uses timber and tiles to convey a Japanese aesthetic, to Mopho Noodle which employs a robust palette of concrete and untreated wood, and Outpost Dining which merges industrial materials with natural finishes.

Through the reinvigorated Station Precinct, once "South Yarra's oldest industrial sector, Hassell begins to define a new laneway where foodies enjoy a fresh urban alternative to Melbourne's typical haunts".
