PTTEP Headquarters

Design Vision: Atlas of Inspiration: Office
Design Vision International Publishing Co, Hong Kong
2011, pp. 114-133

The new PTTEP Headquarters were featured in a the Design Vision office publication this year. The headquarters of Thailand's national petroleum exploration company occupies eighteen floors in the recently completed ENCO building in Bangkok. It consolidates the various head office functions that previously spread across a number of sites.

The article notes that, "The colour scheme for the interiors was inspired by the luminous gas flame associated with oil exploration and production. The gradation of colour in the flame informed the colour palette and helped to create a unique identity across the floors. This "Colour of Flame" concept was used as the key component to link vertical spaces, as the stair and floor group colour coding changed from green, blue, light blue to yellow green as it rose up the building, being highly visible from surrounding buildings."
