Interior Design China magazine featured the HASSELL-designed Hong Kong Deutsche Bank Headquarters in its May 2011 issue. The article notes that the concepts originated from a "vertical network". An interconnecting stair is arranged in the lift core space at each floor to facilitate communication and access throughout the entire workspace. Spaces with different functionality are defined with varied height, depth, color and material.

The design also reflects the local culture of Hong Kong. Many pieces from the Bank's contemporary arts collection are exhibited in the open spaces of the headquarters. The overall design has achieved a LEED-CI Gold sustainability rating, with initiatives including maximum use of natural light and a large quantity of plants throughout the headquarters to improve air quality.
