Profiled in the May 2010 edition of Landscape Design (China), the Lakeway Redevelopment project showcases the creative talent of the HASSELL Perth studio.

This small residential development, sited on the former Lakeway Drive-in theatre, consists of 39 lots in the coastal suburb of Swanbourne, Perth, Western Australia. Capitalising on its unique topography and proximity to Lake Claremont, the project was developed in close consultation with surrounding residents. Paying homage to the site’s indigenous and commercial history, the design retains and rehabilitates large tracts of valued bushland providing extensive tracks of high-quality parkland amenity.
