HASSELL 在CERN公共区域设计竞赛中获得两项大奖
HASSELL在日内瓦CERN公共区域国际设计竞赛的两个分类中凭借其参赛设计获奖。CERN（欧洲原子研究组织）是世界上最大的最负盛名的科研中心之一，其最著名的当属其离子加速器“大型强子对撞机”。
本次参赛设计由HASSELL伦敦工作室制作，在CERN的创新之球举办的仪式上颁发了该奖项。
HASSELL是获奖者中唯一位于英国的设计公司。本次国际公开竞赛由日内瓦州举办，于2011年5月启动。
本次竞赛分为两个部门——CERN园区邻近的Route de Meyrin道路概念，和标志性公共区域的项目设计。HASSELL为两个部门提供的设计都位列三甲，其中公共区域项目设计是与照明建筑设计师Rogier van der Heide合作完成。
参赛作品展览于2012年1月19日至28日在CERN科学与创新之球举行。
HASSELL的参赛作品探索了CERN园区壮观的自然环境和不断进行的、成为世界头条新闻的科技新发现之间的关系。HASSELL伦敦工作室建筑设计主管Tony Grist谈到：“这一获奖结果认可了HASSELL在公共区域设计上的努力，以及HASSELL内部建筑设计与景观设计之间的合作文化。”
